INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
TOYOTA AVALON (2000-2003)
(With center console only. See other side for
models w/o center console)

logo and part number will be right side up and readable when installed.
TOOLS REQUIRED: #2 Phillips screwdriver, hook tool, 5/64” drill bit and drill, 10mm nut driver.

, instructions, two (2) #8 x 1/2” screws.
LOCATION: To the right side of radio.
STEP 1.
Begin by opening the arm rest cover. Insert your hook tool under the left
side of the small trim piece next to the cup holder. Pull gently to release
the left retainer clip. Repeat on the right side to remove the trim piece.
Remove the two (2) Phillips screws that are behind the small trim piece.
Next, set the emergency brake and put the gear shift lever into gear.
Remove the trim bezel around the gear shift by inserting your hook tool
under its edge and gently pulling upwards. Work your hook tool around
the bezel to release all six (6) clips. Lift the panel up and set aside. Do
not disconnect the wiring .
STEP 2.
Under the temperature control module is a small black panel that is held
in place with two (2) clips. Remove the panel with your hook tool.
Remove the two (2) 10mm bolts that at the bottom of the temperature
control module. Note: Use extra care when completing the next step.
The louvers in the air vent fall out of the vent very easily. Insert your
hook tool in the air vent above the radio to release three (3) retainer
clips. (See 2nd photo). Slide the vent out of its cavity and disconnect the
emergency flasher wiring. Set the vent aside. Remove the two (2)
10mm bolts above the radio. Slide the radio-temperature control module
out of its cavity and set to the side. Do not disconnect the wiring.
STEP 3.
Place the Pro.Fit VSM

mount to the right of the radio, against the
dash pad. Align the top of the custom mount to just below the radio
centering hole. (See 3rd photo). Using the custom mount as a guide,
mark two (2) pilot holes. Using a 5/64” drill bit and drill carefully drill
two (2) pilot holes. Place the custom mount back into place, insert the
two provided screws and tighten. Reassemble the dash in reverse order.
